BC Bird Records Committee latest news

There are two recent developments from the BC Bird Records Committee to announce.

First, an interim BC Bird Records Committee Sightings Database is now available on this website.

Also, the Rare Bird Report Form for the submission of rare bird sightings is now even easier to use. The form is fillable on-line, and is submitted directly to the committee from the website.

Not a bird to report to the Bird Records Committee

 

Bird Records Committee Round 14 & Add’l Round 12 Accepted Records, December 2016

The BCFO Bird Record Committee’s latest set of accepted records for Round 14, plus the additional approval of a Round 12 submission, is now posted in BRC Public under the BRC drop-down menu above. Included in this set is a first record for Canada, and one additional first record for British Columbia.

You will also find the BCFO Rare Bird Report Form and the Provincial Review List under the same drop-down menu or link here. Submissions of rare bird sightings in British Columbia are invited and encouraged.

Bird Records Committee – October 2016 Accepted Records, Round 13

The latest set of accepted records (Round 13) of the BCFO Bird Records Committee is now posted in BRC Public under the BRC drop-down menu above. Included in this set is one new bird for the provincial list.

You will also find the BCFO Rare Bird Report Form and the Provincial Review List under the same drop-down menu or link here. Submissions of rare bird sightings in British Columbia are invited and encouraged.

Bird Records Committee – February 2016 Accepted Records Round 11

Round 11 accepted records of the BCFO Bird Records Committee are now posted in BRC Public above, or linked here.

Of note is that this round consisted entirely of records of rare hummingbirds in the province, and included a review the 1997 Xantus’s Hummingbird record from Gibsons.

The latest set of accepted records of the BCFO Bird Records Committee is now posted in BRC Public under the BRC drop-down menu above.

Round 12 accepted records and additional accepted Round 10 records are included in this set. Round 11 records are still in preparation for publication.
