BCFO Featured Photographer #9 – Gary Davidson

Once again BCFO is proud to announce the latest “Featured Photographer’, our ninth in a continuing series.  This time it’s Gary Davidson’s turn.  Gary is a long time birder from Nakusp, who claims that he is much more of a birder than photographer, but you will see that he is also quite handy with a camera.

(As a reminder/clarification: our Featured Photographers are selected by random draw from a pool of BCFO members who are known to be competent photographers.  A new selection is presented on the website every few months).

Use the drop-down menu under “Features” above.

Active Pass Festival 2015

The Active Pass Nature and Arts Festival will take place on Mayne Island April 17 to 19, 2015. Birds and birding will be featured activities with morning guided birding tours both on land and by boat, with opportunities for photographers too.

BC Birding – December 2014 edition

Dec2014NewsmagCov

Would you like to read an overview of rare bird sightings this fall in British Columbia? Are you intrigued to know how nest parasitism by cuckoos means more success for parasitized than un-parasitized nests for certain species? Are sparrows really the Rodney Dangerfields of birds? Are you looking for more details of the May 29th to 31st, 2015 BCFO Annual General Meeting to be held in Oliver? And really, what is the story behind that Bald Eagle above feasting on a large rainbow trout?

Answers to all the above questions and more can be found in the latest edition of our newsmagazine BC Birding, now available for download or reading on-line in the members area above.
