Under the auspices of the local count circle?
No It doesn’t. It’s a CBC for kids, and is typically just a couple of hours in length with hot chocolate and snacks to follow. It takes place in a specific, limited area, with lots of birds to see e.g. Burnaby Lake. Parents often come along. The purpose of the event is to introduce young birders to what CBC’s are like, but it’s not a full blown CBC. The data is collected separately from the Audubon CBC database, and is usually entered into eBird. See the poster below the Richmond count which outlines what a typical count does.
