    Are novice birders welcome to join the BCFO or is it mainly for experts?

      Certainly novice birders are welcome, Kathleen. Our annual general meeting, and two-day field trips for members provide opportunities for less experienced birders to join up with expert leaders, and learn from them in the field. Our newsletter is aimed at a general birder audience, whereas our journal is more science focussed.
